Croeso i’r Dosbarth Jellyfish!

This year myself, Miss Burn, and Mrs. Coffey and Mrs Fairweather our class TAs, will be here to teach and care for you all. We are looking forward to a fabulous year and hope to get to know you all better.

Our entrance and collection points will be on the play area at the front of the Nursery building. The doors will open at 8:50 at the start of the day and at 11.40 at home time. Please try to be on time to ensure you child doesn’t become unsettled. We will dismiss the children one at a time and thank you for your patience.

Our topic this term is ‘’Tales from Wales”

Key Information

P.E

When all the children are in and settled we will be visiting the hall for P.E on a Thursday. Further details will follow.

Outdoor Learning

The children will be given the option to learn outside everyday as long as the weather allows. We will also have the option of visiting Coed Cadno on a Wednesday. It is important that the children have wellies and waterproofs in class everyday. Most people choose to leave them in class. These need to be clearly labelled.

Water Bottles and Snacks

Please could you to provide your child with a clearly labelled water bottle. Water bottles will be sent home to be washed and refilled daily. A healthy snack will be provided daily. We have a chocolate biscuit treat on a Friday! This including cooking opportunities costs £6 a half term.

General Information

Please could we have a labelled spare change of underwear and trousers/leggings in a bag to stay in school, in case of any accidents.

We will post a fortnightly newsletter here in case you miss any news and to inform you of any upcoming events. We have currently asked for a family photograph to display in our home corner to make the children feel welcome and give them an opportunity to talk about their families. We look forward to sharing them with the children. This will also help them make the link between home and school.

School Uniform

If possible, we would like all children to wear school uniform. If this is not possible, for the first few weeks, please ensure that your child’s ‘everyday’ clothes are clean and school-appropriate.

Book Bags

Library books will be sent home every Friday to be returned on Monday. If possible please could you purchase a book bag for your child. Let us know if you would like one.

We all want your child’s first experience at school/return to school to be a happy and exciting one and will try to do our utmost to make this happen.
