Spring Term
Welcome back! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have had lots of fun in the snow! As in the Autumn Term, myself Mrs Dolbear, Mrs. Coffey, Mrs Fairweather and Miss Hill our class TAs, will be here to teach and care for your children.
Topic
Our topic this term is “Tales from Wales”.
We will look at different aspects of the Welsh culture, learn about St Dwynwen’s Day, St David’s Day and more about our area. We will also be participating in the Great British Bird Watch from January 23rd to 25th.
Our School Day
- Drop-off time: 8:50 AM
- Pick-up time: 11:40 AM
Our entrance and collection points will be on the play area at the front of the Nursery building. Please try to be on time to ensure you child doesn’t become unsettled. We will dismiss the children one at a time and thank you in advance for your patience.
Water Bottles and Snacks
Please could you to provide your child with a clearly labelled water bottle . Water bottles will be sent home to be washed and refilled daily. A healthy snack will also be provided daily and we have a chocolate biscuit treat on a Friday! For this, including cooking opportunities we ask for £6 every half term.
Outdoor Learning
Outdoor Learning
The children will be given the option to learn outside everyday as long as the weather allows. We will also have the option of visiting Coed Cadno on a Wednesday. It is important that the children have wellies and waterproofs in class everyday. Most people choose to leave them in class. These need to be clearly labelled.
Clothing
Please could we have a labelled spare change of underwear and trousers/leggings in a bag to stay in school, in case of any accidents.
School Uniform
If possible, we would like all children to wear school uniform. If this is not possible, for the first few weeks, please ensure that your child’s ‘everyday’ clothes are clean and school-appropriate.
You can purchase uniform from J & S products in Sketty.
Library Books and Book Bags
Library books will be sent home every Friday to be returned on Monday. If possible please could you purchase a book bag for your child. We hold a limited stock of school book bags in school, these are prices at £5. Let us know if you would like one.
