A very warm welcome to all our wonderful nursery children and families! We hope you’ve had a lovely break and are as excited as we are for the new term ahead.

We are delighted to see so many happy, smiling faces ready to explore, learn, and grow together and myself, Mrs Dolbear and Mrs. Coffey and Mrs Fairweather our class TAs, will be here to teach and care for you all.

Topic

This term our topic will be “All About Me!”.

We have currently asked for a family photograph to display in our home corner to make the children feel welcome and give them an opportunity to talk about their families and to help them make the link between home and school. We look forward to sharing them with the children.

Our School Day

• Drop-off time: 8:50 AM
• Pick-up time: 11:40 AM

Our entrance and collection points will be on the play area at the front of the Nursery building. Please try to be on time to ensure you child doesn’t become unsettled. We will dismiss the children one at a time and thank you in advance for your patience.

Please could you to provide your child with a clearly labelled water bottle . Water bottles will be sent home to be washed and refilled daily. A healthy snack will also be provided daily and we have a chocolate biscuit treat on a Friday! For this, including cooking opportunities we ask for £6 every half term.

P.E

When all the children are in and settled we will be visiting the hall for P.E. Further details will follow.

Outdoor Learning

The children will be given the option to learn outside everyday as long as the weather allows. We will also have the option of visiting Coed Cadno on a Wednesday. It is important that the children have wellies and waterproofs in class everyday. Most people choose to leave them in class. These need to be clearly labelled.

Please could we have a labelled spare change of underwear and trousers/leggings in a bag to stay in school, in case of any accidents.

School Uniform

If possible, we would like all children to wear school uniform. If this is not possible, for the first few weeks, please ensure that your child’s ‘everyday’ clothes are clean and school-appropriate.

You can purchase uniform from J & S products in Sketty.

Library books will be sent home every Friday to be returned on Monday and we will be starting this from Friday 12th September. If possible please could you purchase a book bag for your child. We hold a limited stock of school book bags in school, these are prices at £5. Let us know if you would like one.
